Terms of service

1. Return & Refund Policy Overview
Thank you for supporting original art. Due to the unique, irreplaceable nature of original Chinese paintings and the high risks involved in international transit, all sales are strictly final. We do not accept returns or offer refunds for "change of mind" or buyer's remorse. Please review the dimensions, medium, details, and mounting status carefully before purchasing.
2. Damaged in Transit
Every artwork is professionally packed using high-strength tubes to ensure safe delivery. However, if your order arrives damaged, please follow these steps:
Time Limit: Contact us at [Your Email Address] within [48 hours] of delivery.
Required Proof: Please include your order number, clear photos of the damaged packaging, and most importantly, a continuous, unedited unboxing video. Claims without an unboxing video will not be accepted.
Resolution: Once verified as transit damage, we will arrange a [full refund / store credit / exchange for an artwork of equal value].
3. Special Notes for Traditional Chinese Paintings
Our artworks are created using traditional Xuan paper (rice paper) or silk with natural pigments. The following conditions are inherent characteristics of the art and are NOT considered defects or grounds for returns:
Natural Wavy Surface: For Unmounted artworks (画芯) or artworks rolled for long-distance transit, slight ripples or waves upon opening are natural physical properties of the paper. They will smooth out completely once professionally mounted or framed.
Color Variations: Minor color differences may occur due to individual monitor and screen settings.
Improper Handling Damage: Chinese paintings are extremely delicate. Any permanent creases, tears, smudges, water stains, or fingerprints caused by improper unrolling or handling after delivery are STRICTLY EXCLUDED from our refund policy.
4. Return Shipping Costs & Conditions (If a return is exceptionally approved)
In the rare event that a return is mutually agreed upon (for non-seller error reasons):
Buyer Covers All Costs: The buyer is 100% responsible for all return shipping fees, international customs duties, taxes, and courier fees. We do not provide prepaid return labels.
Oversize Fees Warning: Please note that for large-scale artworks (e.g., shipping tubes exceeding 1.2m or 2m in length), shipping carriers (FedEx, DHL, UPS) will charge substantial Oversize/Overweight Handling Fees. These fees must be fully prepaid by the buyer.
Original Packaging & Insurance Required: The artwork MUST be shipped back rolled in its original heavy-duty shipping tube (or equivalent PVC tube) with protective tissue paper. The buyer MUST purchase shipping insurance equal to the full purchase price of the artwork. If the item is lost or damaged during the return transit, NO refund will be issued, and the buyer must file a claim directly with their chosen carrier.
5. Refund Amount & Non-Refundable Transaction Fees
Deduction of Transaction Fees: Please note that when a refund is processed (including order cancellations before shipping, package refusal, or exceptionally approved returns), the original payment processing fees/transaction fees charged by payment gateways (such as Shopify Payments, PayPal, Stripe, etc.) are STRICTLY NON-REFUNDABLE to us. Therefore, these fees will be deducted from your final refund.
Final Refund Amount: The final amount credited back to your account will be: Total Amount Paid - Original Processing Fees (approximately 3% to 5% of the total order value, depending on your payment method).
Exchange Rate Fluctuations: For international orders, any losses or differences incurred due to currency exchange rate fluctuations during the refund process are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
6. Commissioned Art
All custom commissioned artworks are strictly non-refundable and non-exchangeable once the creation process has begun.
